Location

Being only 3 miles from the A30, we are excellently placed as a base for further exploration of the delights of Cornwall.  Truro and its Cathedral is 8 miles away, St Ives with its harbour, quaint shops, narrow lanes and Tate Art Gallery  is less than 20 miles.  Penzance, St Michael’s Mount and the famous village of Mousehole are but 22 miles. Falmouth, with the largest natural harbour in the country and Pendennis castle overlooking , is 13 miles to the South, whilst Land’s End  is a fairly easy 30 mile drive.  The Eden Project just outside  St. Austell is approx. 26 miles to the east, and there is a host of other attractions within a forty minute drive.

DIRECTIONS

Heading towards Porthtowan from the St.Agnes direction.

The lane is 400 yards past the Victory Inn PH.

The turning is on the right hand side  opposite a large private house called "TORVEAN". This is Towan Road. (Signed Eastcliff).

Abbamead Cottalow is situated down this small unmade lane. 400 yards on the left hand side next to the old Farm Cottage (Towancott).
